This is our Center for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deaf-Blind Community.
Established in December of 2013 and opened doors in January of 2015 we strive to bring people from all walks of life together with a focus on contribution to society, the development of our region and the overall progress of the entire population.
It is our mission to provide the best quality of life to the Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deaf-Blind Citizens in New York City through our programs and services with our staff fluent in American Sign Language.
Our DWRC staff are fluent in American Sign Language & Tactile Communication. Four different programs run daily for DWRC members to participate: Education, Wellness, Recreation & Culture.
Our center is wheelchair accessible, and provides a friendly environment for the Deaf, Deaf-Blind and Hard of Hearing community. Our center is located near the public transportation. Other languages available: Russian, Spanish and Chinese Sign Languages.
We love Deaf and Deaf-Blind visitors, so feel free to visit during normal business hours and our American Sign Language fluent staff will give you a grand tour and answer all of your questions about DWRC.
